RSS is a great tool that makes it easier to receive instant communication from all those websites I use most frequently. I found it very easy to find feeds and add them through Google Reader. I'm just not sure how many I want to add, however. I do agree these feeds will become very addicting,
but I know I will continue to add other good sources.
A school media center would be able to take advantage of feeds and blogs by linking them to the school website. This would be a great resource for students to find out about the latest books or reading promotions. My only concern is how to best go about keeping my blog updated. I know how difficult it is to keep school websites updated.

Thing 2 - Library 2.0
Library media services will continue to change and improve as media specialists use web tools more and more. Many of our digital native learners already use web tools to share recommendations on books and videos with others out there. However, the students often need to do their work (as does their media specialist) at home because schools block access to the newest technologies at school. As policies change at school, the library media specialist will be able to empower their library patrons. Media center programming will then change just as it should.

Thing 1
I've finished registering my blog on this snowy night. Since I am not a digital native, getting started took longer than I thought it would. However, it is exciting to join all those other bloggers out there.
